Infants (8 weeks - 12 months)
Our infant nursery provides the highest quality baby care in an environment that is designed with the parent and baby in mind. Our warm, loving staff and atmosphere gives your baby a safe, secure feeling that helps them in the transition of the physical separation from their parents during the day.Your baby will thrive in a stimulating, yet nurturing environment. Music, games, stories, exercise, and learning simplicities fill much of the day, as well as lots of hugs and tickles.
Toddlers (12 months - 36 months)
To help your child gain independence and confidence, our Toddler Class focuses on active exploration and hands-on learning activities. The Toddler Class is designed to develop motor skills, receptive and expressive language, intellectual curiosity and positive relationships with peers and adults.We encourage creativity as children develop their own special talents. Our style and method of care and education meets emotional needs while promoting positive social skills and learning. We balance individual attention with group activities and make sure that your busy toddler uses all that energy in positive ways. Our strict guidelines for security and sanitation ensure that your child can explore, learn, and have fun safely.On an average day you can expect your child to engage in the following areas of learning: group activities, teacher-initiated activities, child-directed activities, story time, lunch and nap, outdoor play, and learning centers.
2 Year Old Class
In our 2 year old class your child will learn the following: Fine & Gross Motor Skills, Communication Skills, Music (traditional and new hymns/choruses, Number Concepts & Counting, Bible (Bible Curriculum & Weekly Chapel), Language Development, Listening Skills, Letter Recognition & Sounds, Social & Emotional Skills, Toilet Training
3 Year Old Class
Three-year olds begin a rapid period of development. Their language skills are continuing to grow. Our program will assist your child to communicate more effectively with others and to express their emotions in proper ways. Socially, three year olds thrive on interactive play. Our staff will teach ways to cooperate with their playmates, give them a sense of belonging and empathy towards others.Problem solving and following directions are growing skills at this stage. Our curriculum will provide them with the tools to grow in these areas. Creativity using the arts is nurtured with an emphasis on the process, not the final product, as your child grows in self-confidence and self esteem. Your child’s learning centers will include dramatic play, puzzles, blocks, music, reading, science, language, letter and number recognition, gross and fine motor skill development, and many more creative art projects.
4/5 Year Old School Readiness
Our Pre-Kindergarten program provides the opportunity to grow in the skills your child will need before continuing on to elementary school. We take special care to identify and reinforce the needs of each and every child to ensure they are prepared for the future.The Pre-K program is designed to boost academics as well as social and emotional needs. Language and listening, science, reading and writing, math, art, dramatic play, blocks, sand and water, and movement are some of the learning centers the children will explore.
VPK and Wrap around
Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK) is a State of Florida legislatively mandated program designed to prepare every four-year-old for kindergarten and build the foundation for their continued educational success. The VPK program gives each child an opportunity to perform better in school with quality instruction that includes high literacy standards, accountability, substantial instruction periods, manageable class sizes, and qualified instructors.All eligible four-year-olds are entitled to participate in the VPK program, which consists of 540 instructional hours. The VPK program is FREE for eligible children, regardless of family income.Gulf Coast Christian Academy has been approved by the Florida Department of Children and Families as a VPK Provider. For parents who need additional care other than the three hours provided by the VPK program, Gulf Coast Christian Academy also offers extended day services (we call this VPK wrap around). Your eligible four year old can receive the VPK instructional hours and also be able to attend our school anytime during our opening hours of 7:00 am – 6:00 pm.
Aftercare for Grades K - 5
Aftercare for students grades K- 5th can be assured that students will be safe, have fun and have a productive afternoon in our care.

Homework time (facilitated by Florida Certified Teachers)
Fun filled afternoon including sports, art projects, games and a movie day once per week
